The Studio

An intimate space for movement you can feel

SENSA is a boutique studio born out of a love for precise movement and gentle work with the body. Here we combine core strength, posture, flexibility and mobility, alongside deep listening to body and mind.

Over the years we have grown into a larger studio, yet kept the same intimacy and the same number of reformers, so every client receives personal guidance. Today we offer Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Barre and Yoga, with an experienced team of instructors.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a training method named after its founder, Joseph Pilates. It combines body and mind, physical and mental control. Its core principles are breath, concentration, precision, movement, rhythm and flow. Joseph believed that when we breathe we gain more control over movement, and that it's important to learn to breathe correctly. Once we breathe correctly we control the exercises better and our concentration rises, and the practice becomes more precise. He coined the term 'the powerhouse of the body,' referring to the core. Pilates works from the center outward, so our core muscles grow stronger, we become more stable and healthy and live without pain.

Who is it for?

Everyone! Pilates suits men and women of every age, pregnant women, people who have never done any sport, and athletes alike.

What's the recommended training frequency?

As much as possible! The recommendation is at least twice a week, consistently. The method's founder used to say: after 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, after 20 sessions you'll see the difference, and after 30 sessions you'll have a completely new body!
